Sleeping with Tigers

Published on: August 12, 2015

In Taoist natural medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine many internal organs are associated with natural elements such as color, sound, emotion, weather element, planet, season, taste and a Protection Animal.

In modern times, we see at the very least that all of these associations help those who meditate bring their conscious awareness to a specific area of the body in a positive way for an extended period.  The longer we smile and dwell on an area, the longer we have to facilitate positive change.

Doubt it?  I did.  Until I tried this experiment:

  1. When ready for bed, lay comfortably and close your eyes.
  2. Smile.  In your mind, focus that smile to your White Lungs.
  3. Breathe in the white color of Courage and Righteousness.  Fill your lungs with this idea of being courageous enough to follow through on dreams and righteous enough to stand by your convictions.
  4. Breathe out the dark color of Sadness and Depression (keep smiling).
  5. Do this three to six times, then rest.
  6. During the resting phase, smile to the White Tiger (the Protection Animal) and see a shiny silver sword near him (The element associated with the lungs is Metal).
  7. Keep smiling until you fall asleep.

This short meditation was strong enough to induce an amazing dream about sleeping with a tiger.  Later, I napped with a young friend, pictured above, and had the sensation I had “been here before”.

What will happen when YOU try it?  Feel free to let me know.

Female Incontinence and the Jade Egg Exercises

Jade egg excercises

The Jade Egg exercises can be a treasure in aiding female incontinence.

There are many reasons why a woman loses the ability to hold fluids in her bladder. Pregnancy, birth, and age are at the top of the list.

When women lose touch with the PC muscle (Pubococcygeus Muscle) or overstretch, it can cause involuntary leakage. Young or old, this causes embarrassment, effects sex and is often a woman’s most repressed secret.  Incontinence is usually the result of a treatable condition but we must address the issue openly in order to determine the proper course of action to remedy the situation.

The Jade Egg is used in Kegel exercises.

In Natural Medicine we have taken the doctor’s number one remedy for loose muscles in the sexual organ region, Kegel exercises, and added a powerful element – weight.  For so many women, simply exercising the muscles that support the bladder stop involuntary leakage.  Beyond this, women who have strong vaginal muscles also experience greater sexual pleasure, make more lubrication and enjoy greater reproductive organ health.

Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage and Weight Loss

How to Loose Weight with Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage

chi nei tsangAs I approach my fifties,  people often make the mistake of thinking that I was born with genetics that keep my body slim and muscular.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  I was born in to a zoftig family who, until recently, believed that skinny was a sign of poverty.  The women in my family are curvy and tend to hold water.

My personal journey to health led me to the study of digestion.  One of the first things I learned was that if the intestines are lined with plaque (old food residue) they cannot absorb nutrition.  If my body does not absorb nutrition from my meal, the signal to stop eating may not come because I need more vitamins and minerals to function.  This explained why my belly could be full to the point of bloat but my mouth wanted more food.

Later I also studied nutrition and the necessity for real food (as opposed to processed junk, sugar and white flour) but the first big change in my body and indeed my life came from cleaning out the plaque and rotting fecal matter from my large and small intestines and maintaining that level of internal cleanliness.

How Chi Nei Tsang works

When I learned about Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage, I learned that this toxic plaque could be removed without drugs or colon hydrotherapy (colonics).  Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage held simple and user-friendly techniques that I could employ at home – even laying in my bed!

After a few months of self massage once or twice a day (for about three or four minutes) I had removed some really foul stuff from my intestines and noticed that bloating and gas has all but disappeared. My appetite was about 1/2 of what it was before as well.  After about 6 months the food I craved had changed radically.  I no longer craved sweets and carbohydrates (bread and pasta).  I did hunger for vegetables, fish and poultry, legumes and lighter more nutrient packed fare.  I craved foods my body actually needed and in turn they gave me better health and energy.

After about a year I had dropped several pounds of body fat and, with very little change in exercise, also started filling out muscularly.  It took that long to replenish my malnourished body.  The fat left because I started craving foods that are pure energy and thus the calories burned quickly.

I should mention that aside from Chi Nei Tsang I also began work with an excellent Kinesiologist to be regularly tested for what supplementation needed to be in place while I was on the healing path back from malnutrition.  I work with her to this day and indeed she is my primary caregiver.

constipation cureThe other thing I do to this day is the self care techniques contained in my Constipation Cure video lesson.  Once I learned the three Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage techniques in that lesson I realized they would be a part of my life forever.  They are easy and free once I learned them.

I have not seen the orange peel ripples of cellulite on my belly for years now.  People call me slender.  I digest without embarrassing symptoms most of the time (Let’s be real.  I eat well about 80% of the time.  I like pizza too!).  There is nothing in the world that could cause me to stop using Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage now that I have had so many years of radiant digestive health.

I created the Constipation Cure video lesson so that I could share this life changing information with as many people as possible.  Watch it with a friend so you can work on each other and make digestive health a fun and social topic in your life.

Be sure to share the techniques with your family so they may grow self aware and healthy too!

Benefits Of Learning Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage

Benefits Of Learning Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage

Q: What are the benefits of learning Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage?

learn-chi-nei-tsangA) Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage can loosen and move stuck fecal matter in both the large and small intestines. Rotting matter causes sickness and may shorten life.

B) When done a certain way, Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage can induce peristaltic action in the large intestine (the muscular action that moves food through the intestine). Combined with proper nutrition for the individual, many people have improved digestion and become regular over time.

C) Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage affects the appearance of cellulite and can be greatly diminished or completely removed from the belly. For those who do not know, cellulite is the lumpy orange peel appearance skin takes on when it is covering tissue filled with water and toxin. It is NOT normal and it is a sign of toxic build up that one should pay attention to.

In my experience, most people find cellulite melts away from other parts of the body as well once the person becomes aware of their belly’s reaction to certain foods, toiletries and beverages and employs a low-chemical (Natural Health) lifestyle.

D) Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage balances energy levels throughout the day and promotes restful sleep at night.

In the absence of rotting fecal matter, friendly flora may take hold and aid in biological functions. One of these functions is the large intestines ability to produce rest inducing Melatonin at night (provided it is empty).

During the day, a healthy belly will rarely bloat and impede energy flow (unless, of course, one consumes a wonderfully heavy lunch and must go home and sleep it off).

E) Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage gently promotes self awareness.
As one feels their body shift and change as a result of receiving Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage, they become aware of their belly and it’s reactions to the environment as well as reactions to food.

These are but a few of the benefits of Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage

Because Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage is a self-care protocol as well as a treatment one may give to another, Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage is rapidly becoming a sought after education and a healthy addition to family wellness traditions.

At SarinaStone.com, I offer a collection of Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage video trainings (link). You may even become certified to perform Chi Nei Tsang through these videos.

I am also available to come teach for groups of 20 or more. Courses are very “hands-on” and a weekend workshop will offer both Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage techniques and Medical Chi Kung (QiGong) meditation instruction.

Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage and Your Immune System

Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage and Your Immune System

cat paws

Do you bloat after you eat or feel energized?  Do you feel tired at the end of the day or are you energetic? Do you have digestive troubles or do you eat with almost no negative repercussions?  If you answered in the negative to a most of these questions, odds are very good that you are experiencing the sickly side effects of a congested or inflamed intestine.

Because your digestive system is a part of your immune system, you want to know what’s going on in there.  You want to be aware that a long list of illnesses and discomforts are the byproduct of a weak immune system.  Perhaps we don’t get a bladder infection from a dysfunctional colon, but a constant toxic off-gassing organ placed right next to your bladder isn’t exactly an ideal situation either.  The chances of contracting an infection raise considerably with the constant bombardment of poison both next to the organ and in your blood.

Did you know that when the digestive system is unhealthy, it often lets particles of undigested food pass through directly into the blood stream?  Of course when this happens your immune system goes into overdrive.  Your body mistakenly perceives that it is being attacked and sends out an immune response that manifests in discomfort and inflammation in the muscles, tissues and joints.

The immune system that prevents you from getting colds, flu, allergic reactions, etc. is most likely going to be compromised if your intestines are filled with rotting fecal matter or your stress is so high it literally causes a belly ache (yes, it can do that).  In this case, you have increased chances of contracting any infectious virus that passes by you.  Add to this the fact that your immune system is also working over-time fighting these illnesses that your body picks up.  When your immune system can never take a break from detecting and fighting against foreign invaders, it is just a matter of time before it starts to burn out and work less effectively.  Unexplainable pains, exhaustion, unclear thinking, digestive problems, etc. are the result.  In other words – you are going to get ill if you don’t have a clean, healthy digestive system.

If your digestive system is attacked by eating processed foods and harmful chemicals or harboring strong negative emotions, you will eventually experience poor absorption of nutrients when you eat.  You will also lose energy and feel exhausted because you are making the digestive system work harder than it needs to.  Brain function drops because the brain and gut share the same experience (ever heard of a “gut feeling”?).  In Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage we are very clear that your body has two brains – one is in your skull and the other is your digestive tract.

How do you prevent stuck food in the gut from ruining your immune system?  Is it possible to boost or even rebuild the intestinal portion of your immune system?

The answer for most people is a strong YES.  Yes, you can build a strong immune system!  Yes, you can reduce inflammation in the intestines and lower your chances of getting sick.  Yes Yes Yes

Fortunately, like most of our organs, the intestines and stomach can heal if you give them a break from abuse and offer a little mindful attention.

Chi Nei Tsang Helps Your Immune System

This is where Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage and the simple breathing techniques that accompany it come in to play.  Once you learn how to massage the belly and its muscle tissue correctly, you should quickly feel the release of tightness and return of healthy energy flow in this area.  The technique I call The Wave literally pushes food through the large intestine and simultaneously stimulates proper muscle contraction and thus regularity.  The Cat Paws technique loosens tight skin and muscle around the entire abdomen within minutes thus allowing easier digestion.  Even the simple Abdominal Breathing techniques taught to children increase blood flow and bring health to the digestive system as well as promoting relaxation and relieving stress.

I invite you all to visit the Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage section on SarinaStone.com and see for yourself how easy improving your health and the health of your family can be.

Transvaginal Mesh

Your Sexual Health and Transvaginal Mesh

by Linda Grayling

When sexual dysfunction occurs, the problem can be mental or emotional—but sometimes, the problem is physical. Pelvic floor disorders such as stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse affect nearly half of all women and can interfere with normal sexual function.

Unfortunately, surgical treatment of these conditions has the potential to worsen these problems—sometimes making sex impossible.

What is Transvaginal Mesh?

The use of surgical mesh in hernia repairs demonstrated minimal risk of complications, so in 1996 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) first approved the use of mesh in urogynecologic surgeries, implanted through the vagina.

Transvaginal mesh can be implanted to support the bladder to improve continence, or implanted as a hammock-like support system for prolapsed pelvic organs. Starting with a FDA-issued Public Health Notification in 2008, the FDA recognized the serious complications associated with transvaginal mesh and has since determined that these complications are not rare.

Women considering surgery to correct pelvic floor disorders should exhaust alternative therapy options like physical therapy, diet and exercise. If surgery is needed, women should ask their doctor about surgical options that do not use transvaginal mesh.

Mesh Complications

The most common complication with transvaginal mesh is erosion into the vagina. Erosion can require multiple surgeries to repair, substantially decreasing quality of life. And because mesh grows into and around bodily tissues, it cannot always be removed.

The mesh also can perforate nearby organs, which is incredibly painful. When the vaginal wall is perforated, sex can be excruciating or impossible.

Mesh shrinkage is another common complication, which results in vaginal pain due to vaginal tightening and shortening. Both shrinkage and erosion are extremely painful conditions, and pelvic pain does not exactly encourage a healthy sexual appetite.

Other problems include frequent infections, which restricts sexual activities. Mesh can cause irregular bleeding, abnormal discharge and vaginal odors—all making women less likely to be interested in sex.

All of these physical complications can manifest in emotional distress, even depression. The loss of sexual desire, satisfaction or ability can be devastating for an individual and also instill the fear of losing—or actual loss of— a partner. Depression is known to reduce libido, and so the cycle of sexual dysfunction continues.

Teaching Chi Kung in France to women shows me that we are all the same and yet quite different.

The culture is different.  For example, it is considered rude in France to openly ask a woman if she is happy with her romantic relationship.  In America, this would not be strange in many settings.

Once a French woman is speaking openly on the subject however, we clearly hear a passionate desire to love and be loved.  This Universal urge toward deep connection to those we adore spans the globe and must be satisfied.  When we listen with our heart, we see that women are united.

Understanding Chi Nei Tsang and Our Two Brains

Understanding Chi Nei Tsang and Our Two Brains

Chi Nei Tsang WomenSince the beginning of time we have agreed that women are intuitive – some have been so intuitive they were historically thought to be magic.  These women followed their “gut”. This gut feeling, or intuition, is a gift all women have access to.  The key is understanding the messages this brain delivers.

Today, we understand that the body has two brains, 1) The brain in our head, and 2) The digestive system.

The brain in our belly plays a big role in our health, happiness and emotional balance. In our gut we have neurotransmitters like dopamine, norepinephrine, nitric oxide, and serotonin.  Our gut also has neuropeptides.  Neuropeptides are molecules used by neurons to communicate with each other. They signal molecules and influence the activity of the brain.  They are involved in brain functions like food intake, learning and memory.

I could speak about the physical likeness of these two brains for many pages.  What I want to share with ladies is the importance of keeping this second brain healthy and 100% functional.  As women, when this brain is clean and healthy you are more free to hear and understand its messages and thus have the opportunity to comprehend situations from a clearer and more balanced perspective.  When this brain is sick, inflamed or stuck, the perception of the world will be tainted negatively.

Do you understand what that means? If a woman chooses to focus on her physical health through detoxifying and energizing her digestive system, she automatically improves her mental health and grows her intuitive abilities!

Chi Nei Tsang Detoxifies the Second Brain

Chi Nei Tsang abdominal detoxifying/energizing massage is very popular in France now. The reason for this is that it works, and any adult or teen can learn to do it for themselves. Once learned, most people can be taught to share with a child or friend.  Friends learn to work with each other, medical visits become less frequent  and self awareness grows.

Women and Chi Nei Tsang

Women have special reasons for needing this knowledge because their reproductive organs are in close proximity to the digestive system. Toxic gasses and sickness in the intestines can be very dangerous to a woman for this reason.

A full video course in Chi Nei Tsang is available at sarinastone.com
